1.0 Introduction and Overview

This Statement of Work (SOW) will be for the procurement, installation, turn up and testing of a Point‐to‐ Point Cambium Microwave System from Yuma Border Patrol Station to Andrade Remote Shelter. The Cambium Networks Microwave system is part of Custom and Border Protection (CBP) approved Technical Reference Model and is the current system being deployed in the field.

1.1 Background

Completion of this Project will enable the United States Border Patrol Linear Ground Detection System (LGDS) Program to provide monitoring of activities along the Southwest Border, Yuma Sector at the Andrade Remote Shelter by providing the LGDS data backhaul over the microwave communications link.

1.2 Objective

This SOW shall achieve the following objectives:

a) Procurement of Point‐to‐Point Microwave Communications system.

b) Installation of the Microwave Communications system.

c) Configuration and Testing of the Microwave Communications system.

d) Subsurface Utility Investigation (SUI) may need to be done between RVSS Tower and Shelter to confirm no utilities exists for trenching in conduit.

e) Trenching and installation of 4‐inch conduit from RVSS Tower to Andrade Remote Shelter, approximately 185 feet to intersect with existing empty 4‐inch conduit running into shelter.

f) Provide As‐built drawings after completion of installation.

g) Vendor will provide a design package with an Engineer of Record (Stamped drawings).

2.0 Scope of Work

This SOW identifies requirements for procurement, installation, configuration, and system turn‐up/testing of the Microwave system at Andrade Remote shelter to the Yuma Border Patrol Station.

FAA Engineer will have a structural analysis done on the towers listed below prior to installation. The YSHQ LMR tower is full, but possible spot for additional antenna installation is on the NW leg at around 60 feet.

Tower Tower Height LAT/Long

YSHQ LMR Tower 140 ft. 32.654311, ‐114.63115

RVSS Tower C18/C19 60 ft. 32.662892, ‐114.747458

Subsurface Utility Investigation (SUI) may be required to determine if any utilities exist between the remote shelter and RVSS tower. Trenching in a 4‐inch conduit from RVSS tower to shelter for cabling purposes between shelter and tower, see below. Distance between the two is approximately 185 feet. The conduit will intersect with existing empty 4‐inch conduit that enters the shelter.
