Questions and Responses Solicitation 69727622Q000017

Beaumont Reserve Fleet Annual Physicals

1 Attachment 3, Vendor Pricing Fit Test – COMFO II

There is no reference in the SOW to the specific fit test procedure or applicable standard to be followed. For instance, Appendix A to § 1910.134 - Fit Testing Procedures (Mandatory).

Will the SOW be amended to include reference to the fit test and any applicable specifics?

We will follow procedure of the vendor selected to perform the fit testing.

2 Attachment 3, Vendor Pricing RPR

There is no reference in the SOW to any requirement or need for performance of RPR ("rapid plasma reagin").

Will the SOW be amended to include reference to the RPR test?

RPR is not required.

3 Attachment 3, Vendor Pricing & SOW §3.1.3 Urinalysis

The SOW does not specify, but noted on Vendor Pricing, the UA is listed as "send out".

This test is routinely completed in clinic, so long as the clinic has a CLIA certificate for point-of-care testing.

Is there any prohibition on continuing to perform this test in-clinic or is it mandated to be sent out to a third-service laboratory?

As long as the vendor is certified to perform in house testing I see no problem with them doing so.

Attachment 1, SOW §6.1.6

"Forms should be forwarded by FEDEX to BRF once a week."

Is the use of FEDEX mandatory or are other common carriers, such as DHL, UPS, USPS, etc. acceptable? FEDEX is not mandatory.
