The Federal Aviation Administration's mission is to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world. The FAA strives to reach the next level of safety, efficiency, environmental responsibility and global leadership and is accountable to the flying public and our stakeholders.

The FAA’s success depends on the respect, diversity, collaboration, and commitment of our workforce. Safety is its passion and people are its strength.

Retirees are eligible to use the EAP services for six months after the effective date of retirement. The average number of retirees a year is approximately 2,000. This number is subject to change based on agency circumstances.

This Agency wide program will be available to all national and international employees, dependents and those persons who have an equivalent relationship as a family member such as a domestic partner. The national program encompasses all 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S.
