Reference Comment/Question Government Response
Not Sited Can you provide historical data or an estimate on the average number and frequency of call orders issued annually under similar contracts?
DOT-OIG is not able to provide an estimate on the number or frequency of calls or orders, as it depends on multiple factors.
Not Sited Could you clarify the typical categories and sizes of evidentiary property handled (e.g., percentage of hazardous materials vs. documents
vs. vehicles)? Are there any special handling requirements anticipated beyond what is outlined in the SOW?
It may range from boxes of documents to large aircraft parts or actual aircrafts, such as helocoptors or light aircraft.
Not Sited Can you provide a list of DOT/OIG office locations or typical pick-up/drop-off points to better plan for storage sites within 25 miles?
DOT-OIG can't provide a list of pickup location because they would be dependant on investigative needs. However, please see attached for a list of office locations.
Not Sited Will DOT/OIG provide detailed Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous materials prior to transport and storage? Are there any specific certifications required beyond compliance with 49 CFR Parts

DOT/OIG always provide this, or is the contractor expected to source appraisals in certain cases?
This is dependant on investigative needs.
Not Sited What is the minimum liability insurance coverage expected for this contract? For additional insurance requested by DOT/OIG, will this be pre-approved per call order, or is a blanket approval process in place?
OIG is looking for the vendor to generally be insured. There is no blanket approval in place.
Not Sited Is there a pre-approval process or template for submitting storage facility details for DOT/OIG approval, especially when exceeding the
25-mile radius?
No, there is no approval process in place. However, the location will be based on investigative needs.
Not Sited For destruction or sale of property, are there approved vendors or methods required by DOT/OIG, or does the contractor have discretion provided compliance is maintained?
It depends on what is being destroyed. The contractor does have discression, but details must be communicated with DOT before any action is taken.
Not Sited Is there a standard format or template required for the annual Risk
Management Report submission?
No.
Not Sited Regarding annual price adjustments (limited to 10% increase), is there a preferred structure or formula DOT/OIG expects when presenting cost justifications?
