About this file
This is HS Form 324, the Contractor Inventory Schedule form used by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for tracking property under federal contracts. The form requires contractors to document details about property items including manufacturer serial numbers, model types, acquisition costs, and whether items are government-furnished property (GFP) or contractor-acquired property (CAP).
The form must be submitted in three scenarios: annually, when property is acquired for contract use, and as a final inventory upon contract completion. It includes a condition code system ranging from 1 (unused-good) to S (scrap) to indicate the status of each item. Two copies must be submitted to NHTSA's Office of Administrative & Management Services in Washington, DC. The form requires certification from an authorized contractor representative that the inventory is accurate, allocable to the contract, and matches the contractor's accounting records.
