Paragraph/Sentence Question Answer Date
1 Appendix B, Page B-10
This question is related to our planned Volume II and Volume III submission. The BAA SOW states on page B-10 that transit services for the Acadia National Park are provided by DTI (Downeast Transportation Inc.). Our proposal is related specifically to providing on-demand hiker shuttles. For this approach, will the transit operators be provided by DTI or independently hired by us? Either way, is it appropriate and allowed for us to contact DTI as part of the proposal development process now?
DTI will provide the operator for fixed route and on-demand service in Acadia. See page B-16 of the BAA SOO under “Roles for Driver Provision” for additional details. DTI operates a transit service within Acadia and nearby communities, under a cooperative agreement with NPS. It is not appropriate to contact DTI during the proposal development process now.
