692M15-18-R-00005 Public Announcement Amendment 0002 Questions and Answers

1) The NAICS code has changed from the previous contract (541330), and is now 562910? Could you comment on why the change?

The Contracting Officer reviewed the nature of the work and determined that NAICS code 562910 Remediation Services, is the most appropriate NAICS for this work.

2) If the above NAICS 562910 is correct, will the solicitation continue as the SF 330? Or will the FAA use a different procurement strategy to evaluate price as well?

An SF-330 is utilized for Architecture & Engineering (A&E) procurements, which this work is not classified as. Therefore, an SF-330 and A&E solicitation procedures will not be utilized. This requirement will be solicited using unrestricted source selection procedures.

3) I see the notice was updated to add the incumbent’s information. Could you comment on who held this prior to the 2009 contract?

The incumbent contractor prior to 2009, was URS Corporation, Wayne NJ contract

DTFA03-98-D-00003.

4) Given the change in NAICS and the nature of this work, in part O&M, will the FAA be sponsoring an industry day?

The nature of the work is not changing; Operations & Maintenance was a part of the previous solicitation/contract. Due to time constraints, an Industry Day will not be sponsored by the FAA.

5) Will interested vendors have access to administrative records for the site?

Yes, additional information will be provided in the Screening for Information Request.

6) Could you provide contract information for the Technical Program Manager?

No, all correspondence regarding this requirement will be addressed to ONLY the Contracting Officer, Stephanie Linck, Stephanie.linck@faa.gov.

7) Can you please confirm the Incumbent Contractor name that is posted on FBO.

AECOM ENERGY & CONSTRUCTION INC, formerly URS Corporation.

8) In November 2018 the WJHTC announced an award of a contract to TRC of Massachusetts. The description of the work on the TRC contract appears to be very similar to the subject solicitation. Is it the same work?

No, this is not the same work. The TRC contract is for Architecture and Engineering services.
