QUESTION AND ANSWERS
1. How many resumes can we submit for the Higher Education Academic Assessment Specialist position?
Answer: There is no limitations as to how many resumes can be submitted as long as the potential candidate(s) meet all the qualifications in the Statement of Work (SOW). Please Note: The awardee is ultimately responsible for overseeing this project.
2. With the solicitation stating this action is for a commercial simplified procurement, please advise/clarify which threshold will be used- up to $250k or up to $7.5M as listed in FAR
13.000 - scope of part and subpart 13.5.
Answer: Up to $7.5M
3. While the Statement of Work mentions that remote work or telework is not available for this position, are there any components of the project (such as report writing, data analysis, or virtual training sessions) that could be completed remotely to provide flexibility in case of unforeseen circumstances or to accommodate the contractor’s needs?
Answer: The possibility for remote work will only be considered in extenuating circumstances and on a case-by-case basis.
4. Given the contractor's extensive experience in higher education and proven track record in academic assessment, is there any possibility that the USMMA would consider a remote or hybrid work arrangement for this contract, as the contractor is confident in their ability to meet and exceed the requirements of the role but is unable to relocate at this time?
Answer: This work requires a high degree of interaction between the contractor and faculty/staff, which will require them to be physically present at the Academy. Any possibility of hybrid or remote work would need to be assessed on a task by task basis.
5. Are there any specific challenges or areas of concern that the USMMA has identified in its current assessment practices?
Answer: We need an evaluation of our assessment process as a whole, with recommendations. We specifically need better development of assessment for our business units, development of unit goals, artifacts, etc. We need someone who could provide workshops for both academics and non-academics to improve data collection and assessment.
6. What resources (e.g., software, data access) will be provided to the contractor to facilitate the development and implementation of assessment tools and processes?
Answer: Contractor will have access to Anthology (Campus Labs), Blackboard, CAMS / Campus
