Yes. The year 2026 is not a leap year. It has 53 weeks and starts on Thursday, January 1st 2026. The Year 2026 ends on Thursday, December 31st 2026.

12 X What type of recyclable material will be hauled away?

"Full-Service" recycling collection including, but not limited to paper (e.g., newspapers, magazines and catalogs, mail and office paper, paper bags, rinsed milk and juice cartons, and cardboard, including cereal and shoe boxes), metal (e.g., clean metal cans and lids; clean foil pie plates and trays, empty aerosol cans and other small metal items), and plastics (e.g., clean plastic bottles, yogurt, margarine and other clean tubs, and five-gallon or less nursery pots and buckets).

13 X How do we schedule a site visit? There is no site visit for this service. All details required to provide a quote are provided in the RFQ documernt. 1-Oct-2024

The CLIN section shows 2 line items for each year for a 6 yard container with weekly pickup and a 6 yard container for additional pickup. The scope says:

"A, Container. Rental of one (1) 6-yard Commercial Container (non-compacted) for recyclables.

B. Collection. Once per week collection schedule" Is the 6-yard container listed on CLIN 00101 the same 6-yard container listed on 00201 or are they seperate 6-yard containers for a quantity of (2)?

The same container. CLIN 00201 is for 1 additional "unscheduled" pick-up request per month. The SOW has been updated and is addressed in Amendment 0001

15 X Can the containers have wheels?

Only if the Vancouver Municipal Code allows for or is silent regarding containers with wheels. However, they must be able to be secured/locked so the container does not move freely to prevent damage to government property or injury to personnel.

16 X From my understanding, the quotation should include the completed pricing schedule along with copies of the licenses as proof. Is there anything else required?

Per Section A of the RFQ, you must also include “Acknowledgement of all solicitation amendments, if any” (there has been 1 so far).

17 X Should the client questionnaire also be included?

The questionnaires are optional, but “Offerors are encouraged to have a minimum of three (3) customers complete the Past Performance Reference Questionnaire (Attachment 0001) and submit such surveys to FHWA via e-mail WFL.Purchasing@dot.gov.” These must be delivered directly from the client and are not a part of the RFQ response submission package.
