Project No. MT FLAP PARK 34(2) Project: Shields River Road Surface Improvement
# General Technical Question Answer Date
1 X
A NTP of July 2024 and completion date of October does not allow enough time to obtain the permitting needed, open a gravel pit, crush the material, and build the project. In addition, the 27 ton load limit on the bridge will contribute to slower production or if the contractor has to mitigate the bridge issue, permits with long lead times will be needed. With the current construction market and current contractor workloads, the late start time and early finish time will prevent this contractor and possibly several others from bidding the work which will eliminate much competition. Would the government please consider extending the completion date to allow for construction in 2025?
The Government will not be extending the Fixed Completion date for this project. Please bid accordingly.
