The questions and answers specify requirements for guardrail posts, signage locations, and pavement markings. Both 6-foot and 8-foot guardrail posts are to be used according to plan sheets. Either wood or steel posts cannot be used and bidders must refer to guardrail quantities on sheet D.1. Hot plastic paint and inlay may be substituted for epoxy paint for striping. Grinding followed by sweeping is acceptable for rumble strip installation. No utility conflicts are expected but minor sign adjustments may be required. Signs must meet dimensions on detail plan sheets. Interested vendors can obtain the planholders list from SAM.gov after linking their entity registration.
