1 X Please provide a digital copy of the plans, specs, and planholder’s list. We would also like to be added to the planholder’s list.

The plans/specs/planholders list is available at the link below.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

In talking with local suppliers Montana State Dot asphalt mixes In this geographical region are usually PG 64‐28, the PG 58‐28 is a softer oil and would more than likely not be able to pass the required Montana State Rut testing requirements. Therefore, given the requirements of Section 403, would a Montana State JMF approved within the past 12 months with PG‐64‐28 be acceptable on this project?

In accordance with Subsections 105.01 and 403.01, Asphalt binder grade PG 58‐28 or better is acceptable.

I don’t believe you have enough Quantity in the Emulsified Asphalt Bid Item! Plan Sheet C.1 specifies [5] Based on 0.26 GAL/SQYD and 240 GAL/TON. Per FP‐14 the spread rate should be between .27 ‐ .43; and usually we run in the range of .41 ‐.43. Please advise.

Submit bids for the quantities shown in the bid schedule.

The bid item B03320 EMULSIFIED ASPHALT quantity seems extremely low. At an industry standard shot rate of .45 gallons per SY I would anticipate this to be closer to 64 tons.

Submit bids for the quantities shown in the bid schedule.
