About this file

This document is an Addendum One, providing questions and answers related to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 6885 OF for the procurement of a Non-invasive Surface temperature sensor with catalog issued by the State of Nebraska, Department of Administrative Services (DAS), Materiel Division, State Purchasing Bureau (SPB). The ITB is for a commodity contract, with a Core List of required items and a Catalog/Non-Core List of additional optional items. The Core List includes pricing for non-intrusive pavement temperature sensors, while the Catalog/Non-Core List may include pavement-specific weather sensing items, optional or additional pavement/roadway related sensor components, and other weather/atmospheric sensing instrumentation. The bid opening is scheduled for June 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central Time.

The addendum clarifies that bidders can submit a single price list file containing multiple Non-Core items, with item cut sheets included as an appendix. The State is requesting a percentage discount on all weather/atmospheric items in the catalog, in addition to the pricing for the non-invasive pavement temperature sensor. This will allow the State access to the contractor's product line innovations for the duration of the contract.

Question State Response

1 V 6, Number

The State of Nebraska intends to enter into a Contract(s) for state agencies and/or facilities. The contract(s) will be for a list of common use items identified as a Core List and additional items identified as a Catalog/Non-Core List. Catalog/Non- Core List items shall be represented by a catalog or current manufacturer price list(s) containing items not called out in the Core List, as shown in 6885 OF, BID SHEET.

Question: It is stated that the solicitation shall include a core list and can include a non-core list of components. It is understood that the “Core list” and bidders form shall include pricing for only non-intrusive pavement temperature sensors at the quantities listed in the solicitation.

Referencing number 13, can the state confirm any “pavement specific weather sensing” items or components desired within the non-core list? Or shall all non-core components only include any optional or additional pavement or roadway related sensor components and no other non-pavement weather sensing or atmospheric sensing instrumentation?

The state is requesting a % discount on all-weather/atmospheric items in the catalog in addition to the noninvasive pavement temperature sensor. This will allow the state access to innovations on your company’s product line for the duration of the contract.
