About this file

This document is a Sole Source Request and Determination Form from the Village of Chama, New Mexico, involving WesTech Engineering, LLC for a wastewater treatment plant project. The scope of services involves completely assembling and installing four Scum Skimmers at the Chama Wastewater Treatment Plant. The contract term is proposed for 2 months, with WesTech identified as the sole manufacturer and provider of the specific clarifier parts required for this project.

The total contract value is $47,151.00, with an estimated additional tax amount of $3,700.00. The sole source justification is based on WesTech being the exclusive manufacturer of the clarifier units and the only company capable of providing the specific parts needed. The agency has determined that no other businesses can perform this contract, citing the unique design of the skimmer arms and the specialized nature of the equipment. The sole source request is subject to a 30-calendar day posting period without challenge and requires approval from the State Purchasing Agent.
