About this file

This is a vendor onboarding notice issued by Marion County, Florida, regarding registration requirements through PaymentWorks, a secure vendor portal system. The notice applies to all vendors conducting business with Marion County and outlines the mandatory registration process for payment management. During onboarding, vendors must securely provide and manage business and banking information while selecting their preferred payment method—either ACH direct deposit or check payment. The county emphasizes that PaymentWorks registration is strongly encouraged to avoid payment delays, though existing vendors who have previously conducted business with Marion County are not required to register unless they need to update company information such as address, email, or banking details. All updates to vendor information must be completed through the PaymentWorks portal to maintain accurate records and reduce errors.

The notice includes contact information for vendor support through PaymentWorks' help portal and Marion County Procurement at Procurement@MarionFL.org. The county clarifies that PaymentWorks invitations sent on behalf of Marion County are legitimate requests and that vendors should expect communication from the portal system during the onboarding process. ACH direct deposit is presented as the faster and more secure payment option, though check payments remain available for vendors who prefer traditional payment methods.
