STATEMENT OF WORK

Statement of Work, Mobile Shred Services for Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters

1. Scope The contract will provide for mobile shred services for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Headquarters (HQ) at the Washington Navy Yard (WNYD), District of Columbia. Media to be shredded will be primarily paper, but may include other hard copy and electronic media. These efforts will destroy media through shredding. The shred size of the refuse should be small enough that there is reasonable assurance in proportion to the data confidentiality that the data cannot be reconstructed.

This effort will not include the shredding of classified information; however, controlled unclassified information will constitute a significant portion of the media to be shredded.

Destruction of paper shall be accomplished in a manner making it unreadable, indecipherable, and irrecoverable using cross cut shredders which produce particles that are 1 mm x 5 mm (0.04 in. x 0.2 in.) in size (or smaller), or pulverize/disintegrate paper materials using disintegrator devices equipped with a 3/32 in. (2.4 mm) security screen.

2. Applicable Documents The following documents are applicable to this contract, and are incorporated by reference:
