About this file

This is a Certification of Current Capacity form (Form 525-010-46) issued by the State of Florida Department of Transportation for use by contractors submitting bids on letting dates. The form requires bidders to certify that the dollar amount of any proposal submitted does not exceed the firm's current capacity, defined as maximum capacity rating less total uncompleted work. The certification must be accompanied by a Status of Contracts on Hand report detailing all prime and subcontracts currently in progress or awarded but not yet begun. The timing of the report reflects uncompleted work as of either the 15th day of the month preceding the letting (if the letting occurs before the 25th) or the 15th day of the month of the letting (if the letting occurs after the 25th). New contracts and subcontracts awarded within five days prior to the letting date must be included and charged against the total rating.

The Status of Contracts on Hand report requires contractors to furnish complete information across six columns identifying projects, owners, locations, descriptions, contract amounts, amounts sublet to others, balance of contract amounts, and uncompleted work to be performed by the contractor as either prime or subcontractor. All amounts must be shown to the nearest $100, and contractors may consolidate contracts individually not exceeding three percent of total that aggregate to less than twenty percent of the total. The form is marked confidential pursuant to Florida Statutes Chapter 337.14(1), and the contractor must sign and swear to the accuracy of all information provided, with the signature dated and titled accordingly.
