About this file
This document is a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Program Management LAP Certification of Current Capacity form, specifically designed for pre-qualified contractors to verify their current contractual workload and capacity for bidding on new projects. The two-page form requires contractors to certify that the amount of their proposal does not exceed their current capacity rating, which is calculated by subtracting their total uncompleted work from their maximum capacity rating. The form provides detailed instructions for preparing the certification, including specific guidelines about when and how to calculate uncompleted work based on the letting date (before or after the 25th of the month), and mandates that all new contracts awarded within five days of the letting date must be included in the report.
The form includes a blank "Status of Contracts on Hand" section where contractors must comprehensively document all current projects, whether as prime or subcontractors, including project details such as owner, location, contract amounts, subcontracted amounts, and remaining work. The form allows contractors to consolidate smaller contracts (those individually under 3% of total and collectively less than 20% of total) for simplified reporting. All monetary amounts are to be rounded to the nearest $100, and the form requires a sworn certification by the contractor affirming the accuracy of the reported information. This document serves as a critical compliance mechanism for FDOT to ensure contractors have the financial and operational capacity to successfully undertake new transportation-related projects.
