About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the US Coast Guard's USCGC Healy, seeking service and repair of five winch snatch blocks critical to the ship's science mission. The SOW requires a contractor to service and repair all five snatch blocks (serial numbers 15445, 15453, 15443, 15452, and 19430), with specific models including 22-NC, 52-NC, 22-N, and 52-N, to return them to usable condition. The work involves providing replacement parts as needed and blasting and painting each block, with the highest priority placed on one of the 22" blocks.
The contract is structured as a sole-source award from the Department of Homeland Security's US Coast Guard, with a 4-week performance period after receipt of order (ARO). The primary performance location will be at the contractor's facility in Seattle, Washington. The primary objective is to return the CGC Healy's science winch to Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status, addressing an immediate operational need that currently limits the ship's ability to perform its primary science mission due to insufficient functional equipment.
