About this file

This is a Request for Quotes (RFQt) document from the City of Fort Worth Purchasing Division for grading services for the Water Department, with RFQt reference number 25-0228. The City is seeking qualified firms to establish a contract for on-demand grading services that include bar ditch grading and block sod installation. The services are requested on an as-needed basis, with proposers required to maintain a full-time, permanent business address and be reachable by email and telephone.

The pricing structure is based on per square yard rates for both bar ditch grading and block sod services, with payments including all labor, equipment, fuel, materials, and other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Bar ditch grading specifications require shooting line and grade to ensure positive drainage with a minimum 0.1% grade along the channel flowline, over-excavation to accommodate block sod placement, and proper side-slope regrading. Block sod work involves furnishing and placing Bermuda block sod with specific requirements including rolling and tamping, coordination to ensure no more than 72 hours elapse between harvesting and placement, and mandatory twice-daily watering for the first seven days. All items supplied must be of recent production, unused, and suitable for their intended purpose.
