About this file
This document is a Measurement and Payment section of a contract for onsite wastewater treatment system installation. The contract uses a combination of lump-sum and unit-price payment structures for ten distinct line items covering all components of a complete septic system replacement and upgrade project.
Lump-sum payments apply to Mobilization and Demobilization, the 2-inch PVC Schedule 40 Manifold and Valve Box, and Abandon-in-Place of the existing septic tank. Unit-price payments are specified for 4-inch PVC SDR 35 Solid Sewer Pipe (per linear foot), Underground Two-Way Cleanouts (per cleanout), 1,200-Gallon Concrete Trash Tank (per tank), Concrete Advanced Treatment Unit—NuWater Aerobic Treatment Unit BNR-500 or equivalent (per unit), 1,200-Gallon Concrete Pump Tank with Liberty Pumps 280 Series 1/2 HP Submersible Effluent Pump and Control Panel (per unit), 2-inch PVC Schedule 40 Effluent Transport Pipe (per linear foot), and Gravel Trench Drainfield with 1.25-inch Perforated PVC Schedule 40 Laterals (per linear foot). Each line item specifies comprehensive scope inclusions such as excavation, backfill, compaction, materials, labor, testing, and site restoration. All contract unit prices and lump-sum prices are stated to constitute full compensation for complete and operational installations, with no separate payment authorized for certain elements such as above-grade cleanouts connected to existing residences.
