About this file
The document is a Code of Conduct for vendors and their employees working in Richardson Independent School District (RISD) schools and projects. The code outlines comprehensive behavioral expectations and requirements for all vendor personnel entering district sites, with strict guidelines designed to ensure student safety and maintain a professional environment. Key provisions include mandatory check-in procedures, picture ID requirements, prohibitions on tobacco and drug use, professional conduct expectations, and absolute restrictions on interactions with students.
The document emphasizes rigorous background check requirements, with specific disqualifying offenses that would prevent an individual from working on RISD property where students are present. These offenses include any charges or convictions related to crimes against children, sex offenses, violent crimes, felony property offenses, or any other offense RISD determines might compromise student, staff, or property safety. Additional requirements include proper work attire, use of personal protective equipment, prompt departure after work shifts, weapon prohibitions, and a zero-tolerance policy for any form of student interaction or contact.
