About this file
This document is a bid schedule and specification for the 2025 Gypsum Street Renovations project in Vicksburg, involving street, curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements. The project includes mobilization, site preparation, milling existing surfaces, paving, concrete work for sidewalks and crosswalks, ADA ramp installations, water valve adjustments, and traffic control. The non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with bid opening on September 16, 2025, at 11 AM. The Town Council will select the bidder on September 23, 2025, with a project completion deadline of October 10, 2025, and full acceptance by October 16, 2025.
The bid schedule includes quantities for aggregate base course, sidewalk preparation, milling, paving, concrete work, and other related items, with all pricing columns currently showing zero or blank values. The project specifications require adherence to the Gypsum Public Works Manual and current ADA requirements, with specific standards for road crowning and milling. The town will supply topsoil, and the contractor must distribute door knockers to adjacent property owners one week prior to starting work. Compaction testing will be conducted by the town's soils engineer, and the project includes a two-year warranty provision.
