About this file
This document is a Proposal and Schedule of Prices for the Gre853019D Nutrient Reduction Wetland Project issued by the Iowa Agriculture and Land Stewardship agency. The project is located in Section 19, Township 85 North, Range 30 West in Greene County, Iowa, with bid submissions due on October 28, 2025, at 3:00:00 PM via the IMPACS online bidding platform. The project involves two primary work components: all work except seeding (to be completed by June 15, 2026) and seeding (to be completed by June 30, 2026), with specified liquidated damages of $175 per day for the first component and $125 per day for seeding if completion dates are not met.
The bid requires a proposal guarantee of 10% of the base bid and mandates that the successful contractor execute a performance bond for 100% of the contract award within 14 days of receiving the Notice-of-Award. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary supervision, labor, materials, and equipment to complete the project. Liquidated damages are structured to compensate the Division for potential delays, with the document emphasizing that these damages are negotiated in good faith and bear a reasonable relationship to anticipated losses. The bid includes an affidavit that must be completed and notarized, affirming the bidder's understanding of the contract documents and certifying that no collusion or fraudulent activities have occurred in preparing the bid.
