About this file
Summary: Mount Joy Township Trash & Recycling Collection Areas Document
This is a supporting operational document for Mount Joy Township's Trash & Recycling Contract rebid, located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The document titled "5-08 MJT Current Collection Areas by Day.pdf" appears to be a reference guide detailing the current trash and recycling collection schedule and service areas by day of the week for the township. This operational information is critical to the rebid process scheduled for August 10, 2026, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on July 6, 2026, at the Township Municipal Building in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. The rebid solicits sealed bids for a three-year contract with optional yearly renewal periods for up to two additional years, with the successful contractor expected to maintain service delivery across the defined collection areas and schedule outlined in this document.
The document serves as essential reference material for prospective bidders to understand the scope and logistics of the current collection operations. Bidders must submit a $50,000 bid bond, signed bid form, qualification questionnaire, and non-collusion affidavit by 10:00 AM on August 10, 2026. The successful contractor will be required to furnish performance bonds or letters of credit equal to 100% of the contract price and provide a certificate of liability insurance. Selection criteria will prioritize the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, with particular consideration given to the first-year annual unit fee. All bidding documents are available at no cost through the PennBid program at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/, and bids remain open for 60 days following the opening date.
