About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ494773 issued by UT-Battelle on behalf of Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).
The document addresses inquiries regarding sensor cartridge procurement for the MIDAS S2 system. Key clarifications include: (1) ORNL will evaluate and consider equivalent sensor cartridges that meet or exceed specified technical specifications and are fully compatible with the MIDAS S2 system; (2) UT-Battelle requires supporting documentation for equivalents, including technical data sheets, manufacturer specifications, compatibility documentation, or side-by-side comparisons with the specified Honeywell products; (3) the target gases for the sensor cartridges are hydrogen for the MIDAS S2-E-LEL cartridge and another hydride (unspecified) for the two MIDAS S2-E-ASH cartridges; and (4) this represents a new award rather than a recompete. The document provides clarifications necessary for vendors to submit compliant proposals but does not contain pricing terms, response deadlines, or award dates.
