About this file

This document appears to be a set of Questions and Answers related to a Request for Information (RFI) for support services for the National Science Foundation's Geoscience Directorate (GEO). The RFI is seeking market research to identify parties interested in providing support services, including codifying policies and procedures for the oversight and management of Major Facilities and Mid-scale Research Infrastructure, and integrating them into NSF's knowledge management system. The Q&A provides details that this is a new effort and not an incumbent contract. The agency is developing a cost estimate and plans to issue the formal RFP this summer. The position is expected to be 90% virtual with occasional in-person meetings, but the government will not specify the required number of full-time equivalents (FTEs) or labor categories - the contractor is expected to provide their own staffing plan. The Statement of Work has been revised to include education and experience requirements.
