Statement of Work (SOW)

Soft Play Structure/Equipment FSWP – Page Community Center Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath

“Latest Update: February 20, 2025”

1. Introduction

1.1. Mission: Air Force Services (AFSVC) and the 48 Force Support Squadron (48 FSS) aim to provide customer- focused MWR services that produce resilient, mission-ready warfighters and strengthen families and communities. Air Force Community Centers serve as social hubs for Airmen, Guardians, and their families. The 48 FSS/FSW (Community Services Flight) is dedicated to offering convenient programs, modern facilities, a safe environment, friendly staff, and affordable prices. Funds spent on our programs and services are reinvested back into these offerings and support the Airmen and their families at our U.S. Air Force installation.

The Page Community Center, located at RAF Lakenheath, delivers programs that reflect the interests of the local community. A crucial component for achieving our mission goals is the installation of an indoor soft play structure in a newly designated area. We need this equipment to create a fun and safe indoor play area for the community. Given the unpredictable UK weather, indoor soft play equipment provides a necessary and consistent outlet for children and families to promote socialization, morale, and physical activity. We expect the contractor to deliver a safe, interactive, and innovative soft play equipment structure to meet our mission results.

1.2. Background: Page Community Center has historically featured a soft play structure. Although the equipment was removed due to damage, there remains a significant demand for this type of activity at RAF Lakenheath. Nearby Air Force installations provide similar services. This soft play equipment, available to families free of charge, promotes community cohesion and resilience.
