TRANE 8.5 ton HVAC package. Manufacturer: TRANE. Part Number: YSJ102A3S0L. This
Limited Source Justification is being solicited as an open market Request for Quote (RFQ) on SAM.gov. Therefore, FAR 6.302-1(c) is being invoked to limit sources to only this
Manufacturer.
Manufacturer: TRANE, Part Number: YSJ102A3S0L, Description: 8.5 ton HVAC package

Estimated Delivery: 14-16 weeks ARO due to lead time from factory.
2. DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES AND SERVICES: This is an HVAC package unit with
DX cooling and gas heating, to be installed on top of an existing roof and existing ductwork.
The system is an 8.5 ton HVAC unit that must fit currently existing ductwork for TRANE

GSA SCM obtain the requested part number for the NAB-624 quarterdeck area. The building is a secured location with no windows or doors that can be left open. Temperatures can thus reach uncomfortable extremes and without the unit operating there is no source of ventilation.

including the removal and installation of a new mount on the roof at significant cost and time to the Government. Each manufacturer unit has unique footprints and will not match the existing Trane footprint and duct plan as a result.
4. BEST VALUE DETERMINATION: A best value determination will be documented. Prior to placing the order, the Contracting Officer will seek price reductions. Additionally, notice of this Brand Name only action will be posted on SAM.gov. Award of any product other than the above-mentioned brand name product would not be in the best interest of the
Government at this time. The selection of another manufacturer's equipment would incur significant additional charges to the Government. A best value determination will be documented.
5. MARKET RESEARCH: In accordance with FAR 6.303-2(b)7,The overall goal of GSA
FAS is to provide the Government a fast and efficient way for federal agencies to requisition commodities at reasonable prices with prompt, cost effective delivery and services. The customer provided detailed market research to justify this RFQ as a brand name justification.
