About this file
This is a Purchase Description document outlining equipment specifications for tram cars required by the National Park Service. The solicitation seeks procurement of five tram cars total: two tram cars with two trailing units for Dinosaur National Monument (Colorado) and three tram cars for Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary (Massachusetts). The document specifies detailed technical requirements for the tram vehicles, including dimensions, seating capacity, operational specifications, safety features, and construction standards necessary to meet National Park Service operational needs and visitor transport requirements at these two distinct locations.
The purchase description establishes baseline performance and design criteria that prospective contractors must meet or exceed in their proposals. Key specifications address vehicle construction materials, passenger capacity, propulsion systems, braking mechanisms, weather protection features, and compliance with applicable federal and industry safety standards. The document serves as the technical foundation for evaluating contractor proposals and ensuring delivered equipment meets the National Park Service's operational standards for safe and reliable visitor transportation at both the Colorado and Massachusetts park facilities.
