About this file

This is an Industry Day presentation for the GSA Heavy Vehicles Division's 2026 Fall Open Season for two federal procurement programs: Light Duty Vocational Trucks (Solicitation 47QMCA22R0014) and Star of Life Ambulances (Solicitation 47QMCA23R0076). The Open Season process occurs annually and allows existing contractors to update pricing and vehicle data for awarded models, propose new model years, and enables new offerors to submit proposals for new or existing models. Key milestone dates include Vendor Pre-Bid Intentions and Comment Collector periods from May 4 to June 5, 2026; Open Season Notice on May 11, 2026; the Industry Day on May 19, 2026; Round 1 bidding from June 6 to July 31, 2026; Round 2 from August 31 to October 2, 2026; Round 3 from October 26 to October 30, 2026; and ordering opening in GSAFleet.gov on December 3, 2026.

All proposals must be submitted through GSAFleet.gov's Bid Management system, where suppliers enter pricing, clarifications, conflicts, shipment timing (not exceeding 500 days After Receipt of Order), and technical exceptions for each line item and optional equipment. New models must be proposed during Pre-Bid Intentions to allow time for approval by the Supplier Sourcing and Catalog branch. All vehicles must comply with Federal Vehicle Standards and purchase descriptions available on GSAFleet.gov and be commercially available. New offerors must submit complete RFP documentation and undergo full evaluation for responsiveness, responsibility, and technical acceptability. Vendors require active GSAFleet.gov and SAM.gov registrations; new vendors must submit the GSAFleet.gov Vendor Company Request Form and User Account Request Form to the Contracting Point of Contact. Contact information includes Contracting Officers Angela Romano and George Anderson, and Heavy Vehicles Division Director Eric VanderVeen.
