About this file

This document provides details for the 2022 Transit Bus Program federal contract opportunity. The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking medium and heavy transit buses in multiple configurations, including diesel, CNG, diesel-hybrid, and various battery electric and fuel cell options. Interested vendors must request an AutoStandards account and submit all proposed models to GSA by May 17, 2021 to participate. GSA will refine its technical requirements through the AutoStandards process from May 13 to June 4, 2021. A pre-solicitation conference will be held on May 13 to review the requirements. The solicitation is expected in summer 2021, at which point vendors will use AutoBid to submit fixed-price proposals for pre-established models. GSA aims to award multiple IDIQ contracts for a five-year period of performance to meet the transit bus needs of federal agencies. Additional details are provided on vehicle types, the acquisition process, and points of contact.
