About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation 47QACA26Q0007 for Boyers Local Phone Service. The solicitation covers local phone service for two locations: 1) 1137 Branchton Rd, Boyers, PA 16017, which requires 21 phone lines within an Iron Mountain underground facility, and 2) 500 Grant Ave, East Butler, PA 16029, which requires 2 phone lines inside a building. This is a re-procurement of service previously held by CenturyLink Communications, LLC under Contract Number 24322622P0008. GSA is not using the EIS - GSA Prime Voice Contract for this procurement due to the small contract size and the secure nature of the Iron Mountain facility, which necessitates using existing infrastructure.

Question and Answers:

47QACA26Q0007 - Boyers Local Phone Service

Question 1: Would it be possible to get the address and quantity per location?

Answer 1 : Address: 1137 Branchton Rd, Boyers, PA 16017 (21 lines located within Iron Mountain underground facility), and

Address: 500 Grant Ave, East Butler, PA 16029 (2 lines located inside building)

Question 2: We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services. If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Answer 2: This is a brand-new contract for the re-procurement of service. The previous contract was with CenturyLink Communications, LLC. under Contract Number:

24322622P0008.

Question 3: Is the solicitation a new requirement set by the government or is this a contract currently being performed that the government is renewing. If this is a renewal, do you have the contract number associated with the old contract?

Answer 3: See Question Number 2

Question 4: Would you advise why GSA is not planning to procure through our EIS - GSA Prime Voice Contract?

Answer 4: EIS wasn’t used because this is small procurement action, and due to the secure nature of the Iron Mountain facility in which service is located, the existing infrastructure must be used by the prospective awardee for this contract.
