National Register of Historic Places
I'm writing to ask if you would consider removing the experience requirement in federal buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Places. I feel that the requirements for past experience in federal buildings that are on the National Register of Historic Places significantly limits the competitiveness of this contract opportunity, especially as it relates to 8(a) companies. I would greatly appreciate it if you would seriously consider my request.
GSA will amend the Section M.4 as follows: to clarify the years, remove the "and a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing custodial and related services" stated in the Experience criteria factor (M.4). To remove the term "historical" and add "commercial or federal buildings" to the Definition of Similar Work for clarity (M.4.1). Add a “favorable” rating related to having performed services in a historic building to the Experience criteria factor (M.4).
