2nd Round of RFI Questions
1) Please clarify how the bonding multiplier is to be used. Will it be multiplied after pricing each job order or before bid factor multiplier is multiplied. See examples below for clarification. We recommend multiplying it at the end (example 1), as this is more accurate to true bond costs and easier to calculate fairly.
Examples:
1) RSMeans Costs x Bid Factor = Job Order Cost. Job Cost + (Job Cost x Bond) = Job Costs w/ Bond
2) RSMeans Costs x Bond rate = Base Job Costs w/ bond. Base job costs * bid factor = Job Costs w/ Bond
Government response:
The bond cost for this contract will be calculated following example 1. RS Means cost with bid factor will equal job order cost. Job cost + (job cost x Bond) = Job Cost w/ Bond
2) The Management Plan requires filling out and returning the SBU Information sheet; however, the form provided in the solicitation documents doesn’t have any sections to fill out/sign. Could you please provide the required SBU form to be completed and returned?
Government response:
The Attachment for SBU serves as a blanket SBU and at this time there is nothing to sign
