Q1: Confirm that the field survey is for fire protection only and not to include safety, environmental and health related items.
A1: This contract is for Fire Protection and Safety & Health Risk Management Survey templates to be completed by the awarded Fire Protection firm. The Safety & Health survey templates are populated through a Questions and Answers session with the GSA LAM / Property Managers either before or while on-site. No specific on-site / field survey, related to Safety & Health, will be required.
Q2: Confirm that an Industrial Hygienist is not required for this project.
A2: GSA is confirming that an Industrial Hygienist is Not required under this contract.
Q3: If the S&H information is required to be gathered during the pre-survey interview, please clarify what steps the FPE is to perform if the information is not provided or available. Is it the intention that the FPE would develop findings and recommendations related to S&H.
A3: If information for the S&H RMS survey is not available then a “N/A” must be selected from the templates pull down menu for each cell/field that it relates to. The FPE would provide “Findings” that the GSA LAM / Property Managers provide and/or discuss with the FPE. If a recommended corrective action is selected to take place by the FPE then yes, and/or the corrective actions, if needed, can further be discussed at the close-out meeting with the GSA Safety Manager, LAM / Property Manager, the C.O.R./Manager and the contractor before a Final submittal process.
Q4: Please confirm the information provided in the S&H RMS is not required to be included in the FPFA report.
A4: That is correct, the related S&H findings will not be part of the Fire Protection FPFA Report.
