Location: Richard B. Russell Federal Building, Atlanta, GA.

Subject: Solicitation Questions / Response

1. Can we have approximate amount of rooms where we can move furniture items each day and complete certain amount of rooms?

Response: Furniture is to be moved away from the walls in order to paint. Furniture must be moved back to it's previous location upon completion and/or prior to the beginning of the agency's work day (6am). We are looking for a minimum of 10 offices painted per day.

2. Can work be performed after hours and weekends of which would make the job get done quickly? (5pm -1am). And weekends 8am -7pm

Response: Any time after 6pm during the week. Weekends are open 24hrs. The agency space must be returned to working condition weekday mornings by 6am.

Contractors need to arrive at the building no later than 5:30pm on weekdays in order to pass through security.

3. From looking over the rooms on 6th and 5th floors, rubber base is secured to walls- also rubber base more than likely will pull paper off drywall and will need to be repaired! That being said- could we paper and tape base completely covering with no paint on base !

Response: The SOW states the base is being removed and replaced with another 4” resilient base. Paper being removed is fine, it will be covered up again with the new base.

4. Can we have one accent color for all accent walls?

Response: No, we will have a choice of 4 to 5 colors.

5. Will the Suite on the 6th floor be painted?

Response: Yes, the suite on the 6th floor will be painted.

6. Which rooms have wallpaper?

Response: Please see the floorplans. Remember, each space needs to be in working condition the next morning, so you may need to remove the wallpaper and skim coat one evening, then prime and paint the next evening.

7. Are the existing colors the same for repainting?

Response: The walls will be the existing colors. The color for the door frames and door millwork is under review but will still be painted.

8. Wallpaper in agency space will require substantial repairs to walls from being removed due to wallpaper being a thin paper and not vinyl!

Response: Yes, that is correct. Skim coating the walls is a part of the SOW.

9. Are there any doors to be painted?

Response: No. Only door frames.

10. Will holes from pictures need to be filled?

Response: Yes

11. Will the winning contractor receive parking permits for start to finish contract only?

Response: During evening and night hours, contractors will be allowed to park onsite.

All RBR parking spots are reserved spots, so the spaces will need to be vacated prior to 6am during weekdays.

12. With a certain amount of work needing to be performed by a certain date, to make the end date, there should be a schedule for rooms to have done each week to complete the 4th floor and still have time to get the 5th and 6th floors done?

Response: See the response to question #1.

13. Will you provide an updated floor plan reflecting the areas which are NOT to be painted/ serviced?

Response: Yes, the updated floor plans, complete with scale and room designations, should be listed in the amendment on FedBizOpps.

Any remaining items on the wall prior to painting will most likely be painted around, including the tack boards that will not be removed. The agency will provide direction on any remaining questionable items.

Response: Yes. If you remove them, they need to be moved back.

28. Who is responsible for breaking down cubicles, furniture, shelving attached to walls?

Response: Cubicles will not be broken down. If they cannot be lifted and/or slid over to one side to gain access to the wall behind them, they will not be moved and the contractor must paint around them. Office furniture must be moved by the contractor.

Attached shelving will not be removed. Anything moved should be moved back to its original place upon completion.

Response: Contractors may be paid progress payments at certain milestones during the project, i.e. 50% completion, or upon completion of each floor.
