ADDITIONAL OR MORE DETAILED SOW ITEMS FOR THE

CSO SCREENING STATION ALTERATIONS AND REPLACEMENTS

AT OXFORD AND ABERDEEN, MS

OXFORD, MS:

1. The new Gun Closet shall have a ceiling height of 8’-0” with the ceiling framing having a closed flat top so that the Gun Closet does not go up to the Lobby ceiling. The ceiling framing top can be gypsum board, plywood, or some such material.

2. The existing finish of the CSO station is Mar-Lite. The intent is that the exterior finish of the new Gun Closet and the railings and counter boxing shall have the same Mar-Lite finish.

Detailing shall match the existing detailing of the CSO station. Drawings of the existing are being provided to assist with this item.

3. The current housing structures on each side of the CSO station, which house the X-ray machine and metal detector (magnetometer), shall be removed, and the locations where the housing structures framed into the CSO station shall be repaired with the same detailing as the CSO station. Also remove that part of the housing structures that sit on top of the CSO station wall railing and rework the wall railing so that it is one height on all sides. The height at the front wall railing is the one to maintain on all sides. With this same height, the new ballistic glass and framing that is attached to the top of the wall railing shall be uniform all the way around.

4. With the X-ray machine moving to the other side of the CSO station from its current location, the monitor for the X-ray machine, which sits on top of the X-ray machine, will be moved to the other side also. Construct a shelf above the counter on that side for the monitor’s keyboard to sit, which also runs the X-ray machine.

5. All new railings and counters shall be 3’-0” high. The new gate shall be a wood and finished to blend with the existing gate at the CSO station. The gate shall be 3’-0” wide.

6. There is an existing fire alarm pull station in the area of where the new Gun Closet is to be located. Relocate the existing pull station to the exterior of the Gun Closet on the back wall of the Gun Closet.

7. Since the inside finish of the new Gun Closet is the sheet ballistic material, all electrical conduit, the light fixture, and its switch can be surface mounted.
