About this file
This document is a compilation of Questions and Answers (Q&A) from two separate solicitations related to federal contract opportunity 47PC5326, specifically addressing facility modifications involving spray foam insulation, thermal barriers, and heating systems for a sally port space.
The Previous Solicitation RFIs (47PC5326R0006) address structural and construction details for the spray foam insulation project. Key specifications include: exterior wall height of 129 inches to ceiling with gable end walls reaching 170 inches at center point; tin construction for both walls and ceiling; designated working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; underground gas line routing to the sally port with above-ground electrical service; requirement for a work procedure for spray foam application; removal and reinstallation of existing face-screwed wall boards to accommodate spray foam application; thermal barrier application required for all exposed spray foam surfaces; and confirmation that spray foam will not be applied to metal beams. Obstructions for ceiling work include sprinkler systems, lighting, electrical systems, and exhaust fans.
The Current Solicitation RFIs (47PC5326R0017) focus on heating and electrical infrastructure. The contractor must ensure two natural gas heaters are rated to maintain a minimum temperature of 66 degrees Fahrenheit within the sally port space while overhead doors are closed. The closest electrical panel is located in B112 Cold Weather/Marine Storage room, approximately 120 feet away. Vetting clearance is required prior to work commencement.
