Text version

The proposed room has four cement block walls, core filled with concrete and the ceiling is concrete as well. The ceiling will need to be core drilled, all existing data, RPM, D-Mark, and antenna lines will need to be placed in conduit and will be surface mounted to the existing 1st floor wall, where the current LAN rack is located. LAN rack was relocated into room already. No wire mesh or drywall will need to be installed. See Drawing for new space. Check new area in the basement for any water leaks in the foundation and seal properly. GSA to review the need for a 4-inch raised platform to set both the LAN and DVR rack above floor level, in the event of the basement flooding. If GSA deems this necessary, provide the appropriate platform to protect the equipment.

All work included in this scope and attached drawings are as follows:

1. Interior Door and Frame -- Hollow Metal, Full flush, seamless door - 12 gauge hollow metal fully welded door frame.

2. Door lockset LKM (Lockmaster) 7000 series, FSL 2890 B single motion egress/panic-deadbolt. Door hardware, A-2 Cylinder, keyed individually, not under a CBP Master.

3. D Door stop and non-removable outswing hinges.

4. Install fencing between the exterior door of the LAN room and the actual LAN Area. Fencing will be installed with a 36 inch key lockable gate. Gate will outswing.

5. Install a split A/C unit, sized appropriate to maintain constant temperature, this will be placed next to the existing split A/C unit in the front of the building. See attached photo.

Condensing unit should be 24 to 36 inches of the ground, all pipe penetrations and holes should sealed and water tight. In front of the existing and new condensing unit 2 bollards should be place in front of them to prevent a snow plow or vehicle from hitting them.

6. Install one fixed CCTV wide-angle lens cameras, monitored/recorded at CCC. These cameras need to be positioned to monitor the door and inside the Lan/Telco room.

7. Install 3-20 amp Quad receptacles, each on its own independent circuit. One Outlet should be installed 18 inches above finished floor or what the current electrical code states, the other 2 Outlets should be mounted on the racks near the base of the rack on one of the poles.

8. Provide 4- 2x2 LED lighting fixtures inside the LAN room with the fixtures adjusted so the racks are not blocking direct light.

9. This room needs to be added to the emergency generator.

10. Room data sheet added for your convenience. See next page.

SCOPE OF WORK – EAST RICHFORD LAN/CAVSS RELOCATION

This document is provided for your use.

• (The rack was already relocated into the new space) The following still needs to be complete:

• LAN rack will be concrete anchored to the floor (or bolted to platform).

• The racks (both LAN and CAVSS) need to be grounded (R-56 standard). Provide ¼” x 4” x 12” copper ground bar mounted on plywood backboard and bonded to the building’s ground system.

• Provide UPS Surge Protection from local panel, for incoming data and communication lines. A separate power distribution unit with expansion capability shall feed the

MDF and placed on a separate UPS system.

• Extending the current D-Mark (for this project only) was completed by CBP/OIT personnel. But the extensions for the TACCOM Antenna and RPMs will still need to be completed by the Contractor. Contractor to provide cabling to extend the circuit for the RPM, TACCOM Antenna and Buck-Eye and is described below in a separate paragraph.

• The proposed room has four cement block walls, core filled with concrete and the ceiling is concrete as well. The ceiling will need to be core drilled, all existing data, RPM, D- Mark, and antenna lines will need to be placed in conduit and will be surface mounted to the existing 1st floor wall, where the current LAN rack was located. No wire mesh or drywall will need to be installed. See Drawing for new space.

• Current data drops can be reused, new CAT 6 cabling (blue for data and RPM; red for radio; white for telephone, green for CAVSS) lines will need to be run from each drop to the new patch panel (RJ-45/568B, 24-Port) in the LAN room. All runs will be punched down to the patch panel, tested, certified and activated by the contractor. Coordination with OIT is required. Label all wall ports and coordinate those labels with labels on the patch panel.

• Provide all patch cables as follows:

• in blue – Qty 35, 3’ patch cables, Qty 25, 10’ patch cables.

• in red – Qty 5, 10’ patch cables, Qty 5 3’ patch cables.

• in white – Qty 10, 10’ patch cables, Qty 10 3’ patch cables.

• in green – Qty 10, 10’ patch cables, Qty 25, 3’ patch cables.

• OIT Cabling Standards and Data and Voice Requirements (Land Port of Entry Design Standards, September 2014) are provided for your use.

All work included in this scope is the OIT portion of the project and is to be strictly coordinated with CBP/OIT:

• Remove CAVSS (DVR) rack from current location and relocate it to the new space. CAVSS rack will be concrete anchored to the floor (or bolted to platform) and grounded (R-56 standard).

• The proposed room has four cement block walls, core filled with concrete and the ceiling is concrete as well. The ceiling will need to be core drilled, all existing camera cabling will need to be placed in conduit and will be surface mounted extending from the existing 1st floor wall, where the new CAVSS rack will be located. CAVSS rack will relocate to the basement from a currently vacant room in unused area. It will need to piped down through floor and then run at ceiling level in basement through 2 rooms (block walls) or easiest route in 4’ conduit. This work needs to be coordinated with the OIT/BSDP/Sentrillon Contractor. Cost for this portion is born by the contractor.

• Sentrillon to coordinate and perform all work necessary to re-run all cabling for the existing cameras and will install the two new cameras required. The GC is responsible for this coordination with Sentrillon.

• Provide all patch cables as follows:

• in green – Qty 10, 10’ patch cables, Qty 25, 3’ patch cables.

• CAVSS Design Guide Standards are provided for your use.

All work included in this CAVSS scope is the OIT portion of the project and is to be strictly coordinated with CBP/OIT/BSDP (Sentrillon):

• As per requirements listed above, extend TACCOM Antenna and Buck-eye (VHF) Antenna from D-Mark RJ-11 box to the LAN rack. The POTs Line for the out-of-band (OOB) modem needs to be extended to the LAN rack where it needs to be terminated to an RJ-11 jack, tagged, tested and certified.

• Current data drops can be reused, new CAT 6 cabling (blue for data; blue for RPM; red for radio; white for telephone, green for CAVSS) lines will need to be run from each drop to the new patch panel (RJ-45/568B, 24-Port) in the LAN room. All runs will be punched down to the patch panel, tested, certified and activated by the contractor.

Coordination with OIT/Radio Technician is required. Label all wall ports and coordinate those labels with labels on the patch panel.

• Note where the remote desk sets are located in the port, each data drop will have the corresponding radio connection.

• Provide all patch cables as follows:

• in red – Qty 10, 10’ patch cables, Qty 10, 3’ patch cables.

• As per requirements listed above, re-cable RPMs as follows:

• Contractor to re-cable from the RPMs with “outdoor rated CAT 6” to the switch in the Lane. The Outdoor Rated CAT 6 is BLACK in color.

• Contractor to re-cable from patch panel to RPM computer using CAT 6 (blue). Two (2) drops are required.

• Note where the RPM Computer is located in the port, the data drop will have the corresponding LAN connection. These connections will be placed in a VLAN 150 on the switch.

• At RPM – Provide a lightning arrestor if one is not already there. Add another arrestor on the cable just before it is punched down at the LAN rack patch panel. Then the necessary connections from the patch panel at the LAN rack to the switch can be made. See example provided on next 2 pages.

All work included in this TACCOM Antenna scope is the OIT portion of the project and is to be strictly coordinated with CBP/OIT/Radio:
