Scope of Work for LAN Room, Beebe Plain, VT

All work included in this scope and attached drawings are as follows to build out a space on the 2nd floor of the Port of Entry, Beebe Plain, VT and relocate the LAN equipment from the 1st floor.

1. Protect existing surveillance system currently in room.

2. Interior Door -- Wood, Full Flush, Solid core, 5 layers, 36" x 7'-0" x 1-3/4" typical, natural stain finish in accordance with GSA standard for historical buildings.

3. Door lockset LKM (Lockmaster) 7000 series, FSL 2890 B single motion egress/panic-deadbolt. Door hardware, A-2 Cylinder, keyed individually, not under a CBP Master.

4. D Door stop and non-removable outswing hinges. (SEE DRAWING)

5. Expanded metal mesh shall meet ASTM F1267-89 type, Class 1, shall be 9-10 gauge minimum thickness

(flattened) carbon steel in diamond pattern – 3.20” maximum LWD and 1.33” maximum SWD.

Expanded metal mesh shall be fastened to steel stud and top and bottom runners using either screw or weld attachment. Screws or weld shall be spaced at 6” on center maximum, with all corners fastened to the framing. Mesh splice shall occur at studs only. Splice between supports is not permitted unless:

such splice is welded continuously top to bottom, or; mesh is overlapped three inches, and fastened or welded every six inches. Steel framing receiving expanded metal mesh shall be 16 gauge minimum.

The existing windows will have security cages installed on the interior to alleviate the interference of the exterior historical nature.

6. Reposition LAN rack from 1st floor and install on the second floor near the camera rack

7. Install 2-20 amp Quad receptacles, each on its own independent circuit. Outlets should be installed 18 inches above finished floor or what the current electrical code states.

8. All communication (phone and data) will adhere to the OIT standards CAT 6 OR 6E

9. Provide RJ-45 data drops on first and second floor as needed per port request, drops will be punched down, cables will have RJ-45 connectors on both ends, cable runs will be tested, and certified by the appropriate contractor.

10. Two fixed CCTV wide-angle lens cameras, monitored/recorded at CCC. Positioned to monitor the door and inside the Lan/Telco room

11. Install a split A/C unit sized appropriate to maintain constant temperature.

12. Paint and other coatings (WF-12, WF-13, WF-14, WF-15) shall be latex based or epoxy and not have a lead content over 0.06 percent by weight of nonvolatile content. Coatings shall not contain zinc-chromate or strontium-chromate, asbestos, mercury or mercury compounds. Epoxy paint shall be used where surfaces to be coated require high corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, bond strength, UV resistance, and toughness. Before applying coating, surface shall be stripped of existing coating, repaired, patched, and properly cleaned. Provide finished surfaces free from runs, drops, ridges, waves, laps, brush marks, and variations in colors. Colors will also conform to the new design standards as well.

13. The ceiling and floor remain as existing. Repair any damage done during construction.

14. Existing lighting will remain in place.
