About this file

This document contains responses to a request for information (RFI) regarding a federal contract opportunity for radiation portal monitor installation services. The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking goods and services on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office to support testing of replacement radiation portal monitors (RPMs) at the Eagle Pass, Texas land port of entry. The replacement portal installation scope includes exterior and interior work such as contractor mobilization, assembly and installation of replacement Leidos RPM-8/SRPM-210 monitors currently in storage at the site, installation of associated power, data and fiber optic cables and conduits, and connection to network infrastructure. Following commissioning of the new RPMs by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the contractor will demobilize and close out the project. The RFI responses clarify that the project manager and scheduler can be the same person, there is no minimum number of required special inspections, and Leidos SRPM-210 monitors are the preferred equipment for the replacement project.
