Project Basis
• Approximate project area: 10,000 square feet. Bidders must verify all quantities and field dimensions before submitting a bid.
• Turf basis of design: STR or approved equal.
• Color: Field/Apple or District-approved equivalent.
• Nominal pile height: 1 inch.
• Target construction duration: 30 calendar days, weather permitting, after notice to proceed and material availability.
General Scope of Work

2. Remove and legally dispose of existing grass, vegetation, unsuitable soil, and debris within the designated work area.
3. Excavate and grade the area as required for positive drainage, stable base construction, and final turf elevations.
4. Install the complete drainage system, aggregate base, weed barrier where applicable, artificial turf, seams, edges, anchors, infill if required by the proposed system, and all accessories.
5. Clean the site, repair damage caused by the work, and haul away all construction debris before final acceptance.

• Remove unsuitable material as required to establish the designed grades and a stable installation surface.
• Excavate drainage trenches to the depth and grade required for a fully functioning system.
• Furnish and install properly sized perforated drainage pipe, fittings, connections, cleanouts, filter fabric, and other components required by the proposed design.
• Place drainage rock or gravel around and above piping in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and accepted construction practice.

DETAILED TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS - CONTINUED
C. Artificial Turf System

• Install a weed barrier where recommended by the turf manufacturer or required by site conditions.
• Lay turf to minimize visible seams and directional variation. Cut, seam, fit, and finish neatly around edges, drains, structures, utilities, and existing features.
• Secure turf using manufacturer-approved staples, nails, perimeter anchoring, adhesives, seaming materials, and accessories appropriate for the site.
• Provide infill, if required, at the manufacturer's recommended rate and brush the completed surface for uniform appearance and performance.
• Finished turf shall be free of wrinkles, loose edges, open seams, trip hazards, ponding, and visible installation defects.

• Product data, color sample, warranty documentation, installation instructions, drainage layout, and proposed construction schedule.
