About this file
This is a Brand Name Justification document from the National Park Service (NPS) Intermountain Region for the procurement of Milestone License and CarePlus CarePremium Support Renewal, dated November 25, 2024. The requirement is for 482 Care Plus and Care Premium device licenses and 2 corporate licenses covering 13 parks, with a one-year renewal period.
The justification cites that only Milestone products are compatible with the Park's existing system, and the vendor must be a Milestone Gold partner or higher with current MCIT and MCDE certifications. The procurement will be conducted through NASA SEWP with interested sources including Alliance and Paragon. The document notes that switching to a different system would be cost-prohibitive and leave parks without surveillance for up to a year during system overhaul. The contract value is indicated to be up to $50,000, and while competition is limited for this procurement, the agency states that future system overhauls or replacements will allow for increased competition.
