About this file
This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation for Bids issued by the St. Johns River Water Management District for refurbishment work on the South Yarbrough Bridge located within the Little Big Econ State Forest in Florida. The project encompasses removal and disposal of deteriorated wooden bridge components, rehabilitation of the existing metal support structure, and installation of new timber decking and structural elements, with an estimated budget of $40,000 and a completion deadline of August 31, 2026. The addendum addresses clarifications regarding site access and project requirements. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., with prospective respondents meeting at the Brumley Road Trailhead (2820 Brumley Road, Chuluota, FL 32766), where District staff and Florida Forest Service personnel will provide access to the project site. The bid due date remains 2:00 p.m. on July 24, 2026, with the last day for questions set for July 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
The addendum clarifies that the District will supply lumber only, while contractors must furnish all other hardware and paint required for the project. If additional lumber is needed beyond what the District provides, the District will supply the necessary materials to prevent project delays. No additional photographs of existing site conditions are available; however, prospective respondents are encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to observe conditions firsthand. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum on the bid form included in the bid package. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to LaDonna Johnson, Procurement Specialist, at ljohnson@sjrwmd.com.
