About this file

This document is a Packaging Requirements form for a federal contract related to an F-16 Mounting Bracket. The form details specific packaging standards for two line items (NSNs 5340016435571LE and 5340DTG25036ALE), with the first item requiring Specification Commercial Packaging (ASTM-D-3951) and the second item having no specific packaging data requirements. Key packaging instructions include compliance with United Nations restrictions on wood packaging material, mandating that all wooden lumber, pallets, and containers be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes. Shipping containers must be marked according to MIL-STD-129, with additional requirements for containers exceeding 150 pounds or specific dimensional limits, such as being skidded or palletized for forklift handling and marked "ASTM D3951 - NOT FOR OUTSIDE STORAGE."

The document is associated with the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center and is part of a 100% Small Business set-aside solicitation for F-16 Mounting Bracket spares. The packaging requirements form is Version 2 and was generated on 27 Mar 2025, with the packaging specialist from the 406 SCMS / GULAA office being identified as Wendy L. Monson, who signed the document on 25 Mar 2025.
