About this file
This Statement of Work outlines evacuation chair procurement requirements for the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, the largest unified trial court in the United States. The Court seeks to purchase an initial quantity of 10 evacuation chairs as part of an ongoing, phased expansion project with potential for additional purchases. The chairs must be wall-mountable with specific features including adjustable head restraints, safety brakes with safety belts, lockable wheels, compact foldable design, one-person operational capability, and a minimum weight capacity of 400 pounds. All equipment must include signage, covers, mounting brackets, and instructions, and must match existing Court evacuation chairs to ensure uniformity in training and deployment. Delivery is required to the Stanley Mosk Courthouse Office of Public Safety Emergency Management Unit at 111 North Hill Street, Room 401, Los Angeles, California 90012, with vendor-proposed timelines and a preference for delivery within 30 days of award. Equipment will be inspected upon delivery for specification compliance, with acceptance contingent on operational testing and verification of safety features.
All pricing must be all-inclusive except for applicable taxes, with only new products accepted and alternate brands not permitted. Vendors must provide the manufacturer's standard warranty covering parts and labor for a minimum of 12 months from the date of delivery, including defects in materials and workmanship. The vendor is responsible for timely delivery, proper packaging, and providing warranty and support contact information. Equipment must comply with ADA safety requirements and emergency response guidelines as well as applicable California OSHA regulations. Price quotations are valid for 90 days, and vendors may respond to all or some line items, though the Court may prefer to award the entire bid to a single vendor and is not bound to consider partial bids.
