About this file
This document is a Scope of Work and Specifications for the 4-H Barn Restoration Project issued by Lewis County, Washington, in collaboration with the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds and the Washington State Department of Agriculture Fairs Program. The project involves comprehensive structural and roofing improvements to the 4-H Barn, including repairing the south and north walls, installing new doors (garage and man doors), replacing roofing with a white composition roof with a 30-year manufacturer's warranty, resurfacing both the north and south floors with asphalt, and installing metal siding. The project is subject to a mandatory site walk-through on March 18, 2025, at 10:00 am, with electronic proposal submissions due by March 28, 2025, at 12:00 pm through the OpenGov procurement portal, and questions must be submitted by March 23, 2025, at 8:00 pm.
The project is funded through a $237,500 state grant, with strict adherence to prevailing wage requirements and applicable building codes. Lewis County is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative action, encouraging submissions from minority, veteran, and women-owned firms. Only contractors previously accepted to a small works roster can be invited to bid and potentially awarded the contract. Proposals will be evaluated exclusively through the OpenGov electronic procurement system, with direct communication available through Project Manager Matt Patana via phone (360-219-6147) or email. The project emphasizes compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and ensures non-discriminatory consideration of bids based on race, color, or national origin.
