About this file

This is a memorandum from the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) establishing approved equipment lists for non-nuclear Configuration Management Database (CMD) systems used in protection levels (PL) 1 through PL-4 applications.

Attachment 1 identifies equipment approved for new procurements, installations, and upgrades, dated March 23, 2026. Approved Command, Control and Display Equipment (CCDE) includes integrated intrusion detection and access control systems from Prometheus Security Group (PSG) LINX Predator Elite Version 8.1, LenelS2 OnGuard Version 8.1 (must be used with Milestone XProtect 22.2av), and Honeywell Vindicator Command and Control Platform Version 10. Video Management Systems approved for new installations include Milestone XProtect 22.2av and PSG VICADS Version 4.3, 4.3.5, and V100.2.1 (with specific testing configurations noted). Assessment and pan-tilt-zoom cameras from multiple manufacturers are approved, including Axis, Bosch, Pelco, and Vivotek models. Interior intrusion detection sensors include various passive infrared, balanced magnetic switch, and laser devices from manufacturers such as BEA, Bosch, Magnasphere, Optex, and Protech. Exterior sensors approved include fence sensors, microwave systems, and infrared barriers from DeTekion, EAG of Americas, Fiber SenSys, Southwest Microwave, and others. Wide-area approach zone sensors include FLIR Ranger radar systems (700–2800 meters) and Magos SR-500 Perimeter Surveillance System. Attachment 2 lists previously-approved equipment still authorized for continued use and sustainment in existing installations but explicitly not approved for new procurements or installations, dated February 24, 2025. All equipment was verified to meet applicable National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and Buy American Act (BAA) or Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements at approval; however, installation agents must verify place of origin of all components prior to installation. Point of Contact for additional information is Capt Gabriel Otley, Force Protection Systems Modernization Branch (AFLCMC/ESSM), gabriel.otley.1@us.af.mil.

MEMORANDUM FOR DISTRIBUTION

FROM: AFLCMC/ESS

3 Eglin St, Bldg. 1612 Hanscom AFB MA 01731

SUBJECT: Non-Nuclear Configuration Management Database (CMD) Equipment Approval

1. Attached are the current CMD equipment lists approved for use when employed in the tested PL-1 (non nuclear) through PL-4 applications and configurations. Information on the tested configuration can be obtained from Force Protection Systems Division (AFLCMC/ESS) upon request.

2. Attachment 1 identifies equipment approved for new procurements and installs, or for upgrading existing equipment to the latest configuration. Attachment 2 identifies previously-approved equipment that is still approved for use and sustainment in existing installs; however, the equipment in Attachment 2 is not approved for new procurements or new installs, even if the item is still available from the Original Equipment Manufacturer. It is recommended systems get updated to the most current software and firmware versions identified in Attachment 1 as soon as practical, subject to available funding.

Yellow highlight indicates correction, change, and/or addition.

3. All equipment was determined to meet applicable National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) and Buy American Act (BAA) or Trade Agreements Act (TAA) requirements at the time of approval. Manufacturers could change place of origin over time. Installation agents should verify place of origin of all components prior to installation. Items on the CMD are not tested to Intelligence Community Directive/Intelligence Community Standard (ICD/ICS) 705 standards.

4. A listing of equipment approved for use in PL-1 Nuclear applications is available in a separate letter maintained by the Point of Contact (POC) listed below.

5. For additional inquiries, the POC for this effort is Capt Gabriel Otley, Force Protection Systems Modernization Branch (AFLCMC/ESSM), gabriel.otley.1@us.af.mil
