About this file
This document is a Certificate of Compliance Notice from the Jackson County Office of the County Auditor's Compliance Review Office in Kansas City, Missouri. The notice mandates that all vendors doing business with Jackson County must obtain a Certificate of Compliance, which must be submitted with any bid response. Failure to do so may result in bid rejection. Vendors are required to complete the Certificate of Compliance Application online at least five (5) business days prior to the bid response deadline to ensure processing.
The Certificate of Compliance has two primary requirements: first, vendors must be properly listed on Jackson County tax rolls and not delinquent in tax payments, or have no taxable property as of December 31st of the previous year; second, vendors must attest and agree to Chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code, which prohibits discriminatory practices and promotes Equal Employment Opportunity for contractors doing business with the county. Vendors with questions can contact the Compliance Review Office via email at cro@jacksongov.org or by phone at 816-881-3302. The document emphasizes that obtaining the Certificate of Compliance is not guaranteed if the submitted application does not meet the specified timeline.
